They were too tight and not any support

Good wraps

They are very thin and soft. They do wrinkle a bit, and they are not as padded as Title wraps, but for the price I’m happy with them.

The Art of Hand Wrapping

Techniques and Best Boxing Wraps

Boxers need to master the fundamental skill of hand wrapping to protect their hands, knuckles, and wrists during training and competitive bouts. Proper hand wrapping is crucial for stability and injury prevention. Protect your fists with quality!

Importance of Hand Wrapping in Boxing

Boxers must wrap their hands before training or fighting as it has several benefits. Hand wrapping stabilizes the bones and joints, reduces the chances of sprains and fractures, and provides extra padding to absorb the impact of punches. Additionally, proper hand wrapping helps maintain alignment, decreasing the risk of wrist injuries and offering support to the tendons. Wearing traditional wraps or quick wraps is a must when hitting the heavy bag for example.

Hand Wraps for Boxing, Basic Technique:

a. Start with the looped end of the boxing wrap facing your fingertips.
b. Secure the loop around your thumb and spread the wrap across the back of your hand, covering the knuckles.
c. Wrap the wrap around your wrist several times, ensuring a snug fit.
d. Proceed diagonally across your palm towards the base of your thumb.
e. Loop the wrap between your thumb and index finger, creating a figure-eight pattern.
f. Continue wrapping around the wrist, repeating steps d and e as necessary.
g. After sufficient coverage, wrap the wrap around your knuckles a few times to reinforce the padding.
h. Finish by securing the wrap using the Velcro strap or by tucking the loose end under the wraps.

Mexican Style Hand Wrapping Technique:

a. Place the center of the boxing wrap across the back of your hand, covering the knuckles.
b. Wrap the wrap around your wrist, ensuring a firm hold.
c. Move diagonally across your palm towards the base of your thumb.
d. Instead of wrapping around the thumb joint, create a figure-eight pattern by looping the wrap between your thumb and index finger.
e. Continue wrapping around the wrist, repeating steps c and d as necessary.
f. After achieving desired coverage, wrap the wrap around your knuckles for added protection.
g. Secure the wrap using the Velcro strap or by tucking the loose end under the wraps.

What Makes The Best Boxing Wraps:

a. Length: Opt for hand wraps that are at least 180 inches long. This length allows for thorough coverage and support.
b. Material: Choose wraps made of breathable and durable fabric, such as cotton or a blend of cotton and polyester. These materials offer comfort and longevity.
c. Elasticity: Select wraps with good stretch to ensure a secure fit without compromising blood circulation. Elasticity allows for flexibility and freedom of movement. Never wrap your fists too tight.
d. Thickness: Look for wraps with adequate padding to provide optimal cushioning for your knuckles and wrists. This feature reduces the risk of injuries and absorbs impact.

Hand Wraps For Boxing, Final Thoughts
