Mark 1 gloves so far

These are great 12 oz bag gloves so far, very protective and not showing any wear on the punch surface.

Padding is good

Padding quality on a mid tier priced glove is important and they got it nice and protective on this. Glove is compfortable and somewhat more compact fitting/ profile. The material seems durable yes, but also feels a bit more on the cheaper side for the price point. I think these at $100 or less make sense. Still satisfied with the glove and would def recommend to others, but would only give it 4 stars if you can grab for $100 or less.

Great all around glove

Provides great wrist support and the padding absorbs impact. Takes 2-3 sessions on the bag to break in. Could use these with and without wraps.
Overall, the quality of these gloves are top notch. The design, fit, feel, and support is amazing. Definitely can’t wait to save up and get the Select lace-ups.
I do see myself purchasing gloves from MK1 down the line.

My first pair of MK1’s

I decided to give these gloves a try after I watched a YouTube review of the new Mark-1’s and I’m glad I did. I’ve only used them for hitting the bag so far but I plan to mainly use them for sparring (I bought a 16oz pair). I like the padding on the wrist and the compact finger compartment. The feedback I get from hitting the bag feels great as well. I’m definitely a fan of this company now.

Understanding the Purpose of Training Gloves:

Choosing the Right Boxing Gloves for Optimal Performance

Selecting the best boxing gloves tailored to your needs is crucial for optimizing your training regimen. Training gloves are specifically designed to safeguard the hands of boxers during intense workouts. They offer essential padding and support, reducing the risk of injuries while maximizing performance. Whether you're hitting the punching bags, practicing on mitts with a trainer , or engaging in sparring sessions, training gloves play a vital role in your overall safety and development as a boxer.

Lighter Weight Gloves for Speed and Precision:

If you're a boxer who prioritizes speed and precision, it's best to choose lighter-weight gloves. These gloves, which weigh between 8 to 12 ounces, offer increased hand agility, allowing for faster combinations and better hand speed. They're perfect for boxers who want to improve their technical skills, accuracy, and defensive maneuvers. When shopping for boxing gloves that prioritize speed and precision, go for the lighter-weight options.

Heavier Gloves for Power and Conditioning:

If you're looking to improve your power, strength, and endurance through your training, it's best to use heavier gloves. These gloves usually weigh between 14 and 18 ounces , and they add resistance to your punches, which means your muscles have to work harder over the rounds. They're often used during bag work and pad drills to improve your punching power and overall stamina.

Choosing the Right Boxing Gloves:

Selecting the right pair of boxing gloves is crucial for your training success. Make sure to keep the following factors in mind:

Size and Fit: Opt for gloves that fit well to ensure comfort, hand protection, and allow you to improve your technique.

Type of Gloves: Different gloves serve different purposes. Bag gloves, sparring gloves, and competition gloves have unique features that cater to their specific use. Identify your training's primary focus to select the appropriate glove type. The Mark 1 Training Glove is a great all-around boxing glove, which can be used for anything aside from competition.

Quality and Durability: Investing in high-quality gloves pays off in the long run. Genuine leather gloves are known for their durability, our Select Collection features items made of 100% genuine leather. Synthetic materials like vinyl or PU leather offer an affordable option that doesn't compromise on performance.

Last word from MK1:

By understanding the importance of selecting the right boxing gloves, considering factors such as weight, glove type, and fit, you can optimize your training experience and elevate your skills.
